Without being particularly interested in film, we necessarily know the famous brand with its yellow colors.

Many people, including those who use Kodak films, are unaware, however, that the American brand invented almost everything in photography and, since its origins in 1880, strongly guided the development of photography throughout the world through its innovations, such as no other manufacturer, until… completely missing the digital shift !

Kodak was originally a man, Georges Eastman, and a vision. To describe its origins and journey here would take too many pages, and that is not my purpose. I am not interested in Kodak for all its production (which is obviously phenomenal), but simply as the best representative in my eyes of the evolution of photography over time, particularly with regard to the different formats.

It is therefore a short story of formats that I will try to tell you here, by illustrating my remarks with a few pieces from my collection.
